QUARTZ COUNTERTOPS: PROS AND CONS
At Dream Homes Remodeling, we’re licensed, bonded and insured home remodelers so we’ve installed more quartz countertops than we can count since 2000. Here are a few things you need to know before you settle on quartz countertops.
Quartz Countertops are made of color-tinted resin and quartz chips. This man-made combination offers the beauty of stone with a care-free solid surface so keeping your food preparations areas clean and germ-free is a cinch.
Quartz tops share the same advantages as solid-surface countertops. Easy to maintain and keep clean, they are available in endless colors and patterns. Natural stone doesn’t share this characteristic. (With natural stone, what comes out of the earth is what you get; aiming for a blended, symmetrical appearance with natural stone is a fool’s game.) Quartz is also durable, which is good, because it’s expensive.
On the down side, quartz countertops are manufactured and it’s easy to tell. They lack the multi-colored, dappled appearance of natural granite.
If you’ve settled on quartz or another manufactured countertop option, we would love to help you source it; we’ll be happy to install it for you, too.
Here at Dream Homes Remodeling, we’re licensed, bonded and insured home remodelers. We love transforming homes and then recording the glowing reports we receive from the homeowners we serve.
We sincerely hope you decide to become our newest happy homeowner!
